RIDING THROUGH THE VALLEY OF DEATH

The day started with my caravan meeting early in the morning at the barn. After loading the mules and horses as well as our equipment and tack we were on the road. Once we made it to _____ where we would be spending the next two nights, we parked the vehicles and unloaded the horses. The first thing we did was find the perfect spot to steak out our horses. Since we were in the desert, without a way to tie the horses to a high point (high-line) and we could not attach them to the wagons incase they pulled back (we didn’t want to break the wagon), we used a three foot steel steak that had a swivel attached at the top so when you strap one of the horse’s fro
